Castilla y León

Castilla y León occupies a prominent place among the Spanish wine regions, and is at the top when it comes to the production of quality wines.

There are twelve protected designations of origin (PDO) to which the Geographical Indication must be added. Protected (IGP) of Wines of the Land of Castilla y León. The PDOs are grouped in turn into nine appellations of origin: Ribera del Duero, Cigales, Rueda, Toro, Bierzo, Arlanza, Arribes, Tierras de León and Tierra del Vino de Zamora, and to these are added the three appellations as quality wines : Sierra de Salamanca, Valtiendas and Valles de Benavente.
